About Us

Betteshanger IBC, situated in Deal, Kent was opened in 2000 and four-rink facility currently boasts over 300 members including ex England Under 25 Internationals Simon Green and Shaun McCaughan. This year ten players from the club have been invited to the Liberty trophy trial.

The club has progressed steadily over the last few years, to such an extent that last season Betteshanger players qualified for the National Finals at Nottingham in the Singles, Pairs and Triples. Also players qualified in the Champion of Champions and Father and Son held at Northampton. Betteshanger enjoyed more success in the County Competitions too by winning the Pairs, Triples, Fours and Kia Cup.

Dave Ferguson set a first in 2007/2008, when he became the first player from Betteshanger to qualify for the Professional Bowls Associations' World Singles Championships at Potters after wining six games at the qualifiers in Bromley.
